CHP Silivri District Chairman Detained

The district chairman of the Republican People's Party in Silivri, Doruk Bulut, was detained as part of an investigation into allegations of corruption against the Silivri Municipality.It has been stated that the reason for Bulut's detention is the corruption investigation against the Silivri Municipality. The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that a search was conducted at Bulut's address and that he will be referred to the Silivri Courthouse tomorrow.The corruption investigation against the Silivri Municipality began in June. As part of the investigation, 10 people, including Mayor Bora Balcıoğlu, were arrested. According to the details of the operation, it was alleged that some transactions in the municipality were carried out with irregularities, including personnel recruitment, business transfer and rental, construction, licensing, sealing, illegal construction, and acquisition of property, as well as the sale of municipal real estate.
