Bloody Shootings in Cape Town: 11 People Killed

The city of Cape Town in South Africa has been shaken by three separate shootings that occurred in a short span. According to the South African Police Service, these attacks resulted in the deaths of 11 people, with 2 more injured.The first attack targeted the Khayelitsha area, specifically Lingelethu West, where three men aged 25, 31, and 35 were shot and killed. The violence continued in the Langa and Gugulethu areas.In the second attack in Langa, on Winnie Mandela Street, 4 men and 1 woman lost their lives. In the third shooting in Gugulethu's Barcelona informal settlement, 2 men and 1 woman were killed, while 2 others were seriously injured. Western Cape Police Commissioner Lieutenant General Sizakhele Dyantyi stated that the motivation behind the attacks is still unclear and that measures have been heightened in other areas deemed at risk.
