Forest Fire in Çanakkale Brought Under Control

A forest fire that broke out in a wooded area in Çanakkale's Bayramiç district was brought under control after a large-scale intervention.Following a notification received by the Çanakkale Regional Directorate of Forestry, a fire was detected in a wooded area near the villages of Muratlar and Hacıbekirler in the Bayramiç district.The response to the fire involved 9 planes, 8 helicopters, 25 fire trucks, 5 water tankers, 10 bulldozers, 4 trailers, and fire department vehicles, totaling 111 vehicles and 488 personnel.The Governorship of Çanakkale announced on social media that the fire had been brought under control and cooling efforts were ongoing.

Cooling efforts are continuing in the area by our teams. We would like to thank all personnel from our Forestry Organization and other public institutions who worked tirelessly to bring the fire under control, as well as our volunteers and everyone who provided support.
