Allegations of Harassment at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University: 'Let's Lie Down on the Grass and Commit a Sin'

A female student at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University accused a teacher of harassment. The academic, who was previously expelled by the YÖK, was reinstated after a court decision, sparking widespread outrage.The teacher, O.S., had previously been suspended three times due to complaints from 38 female students in 2018 and 2019. Following the allegations, the student filed a complaint with the prosecutor's office.The teacher allegedly told the student, 'Since you don't seem to be in the mood, let's go to the mountains and countryside together. Let's lie down on the grass and commit a sin.' The student became frightened and left the room.
