Camgözler Crime Organization Leader to Be Extradited to Turkey

Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek announced that 48 individuals from 12 countries have been extradited to Turkey since July 1. The total number of extradited individuals in 2026 has now reached 245.

Under the leadership of our President, Mr. Erdoğan, we are strengthening our national and international cooperation in the fight against crime and criminals, and we continue to monitor the extradition processes relentlessly. We do not let those who think they can escape Turkish justice by committing crimes and fleeing abroad get away.

Minister Gürlek stated that in the last one and a half months, 24 individuals were extradited from Georgia, 8 from Germany, and 6 from Greece. He also emphasized that significant results have been achieved in the fight against organized crime. The leader of the 'Redkitler' crime organization, F.D., was extradited to Turkey on August 13, 2026. Additionally, the extradition of S.K., a manager of the Camgözler crime organization, who was requested from Argentina in 2020, has been approved. Following the notification from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on July 28, 2026, coordination was established with the Ministries of Interior and Foreign Affairs on July 31, and a travel plan was created for the individual's return to Turkey. S.K. was handed over in Argentina on August 13 and is expected to arrive in Istanbul tonight.
