A Woman in Burdur Lost Her Life Due to a Tick Bite

Fatma Duran, a 55-year-old woman from Akçaören village in Burdur's Kemer district, had a tick attach to her body about two weeks ago while she was in a forested area. She initially applied to Burdur State Hospital and was later referred to Antalya Education and Research Hospital.
Duran, who was being treated for suspected Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF), could not be saved despite the doctors' efforts.
The incident has been seen as a warning to citizens in Burdur about tick-borne diseases.
