Brent Oil Price Surges to $76.68 Per Barrel
The price of Brent oil has risen to $76.68 per barrel in international markets. After reaching $79.25 yesterday, the price closed the day at $76.30. As of today, the price has increased by approximately 0.5% to $76.68. The ongoing reciprocal attacks between Washington and Tehran following US President Donald Trump's announcement that negotiations with Iran have ended are contributing to the rise in oil prices. Explosions have been reported in several Iranian provinces, with the Buşehr Governorate investigating the source of the blasts. The uncertainty surrounding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz is also fueling concerns about supply, thereby supporting prices. Another factor driving the surge in oil prices is the US military's attacks on Iranian cities. The price of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil has also risen to $72.28 per barrel. According to Iran's semi-official Mehr News Agency, explosions have been heard in the provinces of Sistan and Baluchestan, Buşehr, and Hürmüzgan. These developments are playing a significant role in the increase in oil prices.
