Bolivia Faces New Development After Crisis: State of Emergency to Continue

Bolivian President Rodrigo Paz announced that the roadblock protests, which had been ongoing for approximately 1.5 months, have come to an end and public order has been restored. Paz stated that the state of emergency declared on June 20 will continue for a while longer. Emphasizing that the country aims for a future where all citizens can equally benefit from development, Paz noted that maintaining stability is a top priority.It was also reported that transportation in the country has begun to return to normal. Speaking to the Spanish news agency EFE, driver Cristian Molina stated that bus stations have resumed full-capacity operations, all roads are open to traffic, and services are running normally. The protests, which were held against one of the worst economic crises in Bolivia's last 40 years, lasted for over a month.
