UN Secretary-General Guterres Strongly Condemns Ukraine's Attacks on Civilians in Russia

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres condemned the attacks by Ukraine's drones on civilians in various regions of Russia, which resulted in loss of life and damage to civilian infrastructure. These attacks include the drone strikes that have been carried out in various regions of the Russian Federation, resulting in civilian casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure.
The statement by Guterres was announced by UN Deputy Spokesman for the Secretary-General Farhan Haq during a press briefing. Haq stated, “The Secretary-General is deeply concerned about the ongoing escalation of the conflict and its spread to the territory of the Russian Federation. In this context, he also condemns the recent drone attacks by Ukraine on various regions of the Russian Federation, which have reportedly resulted in civilian casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure.”
Russia had previously called on the UN and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights to fairly assess the actions of the Kiev regime. It emphasized that ignoring such attacks would amount to de facto approval of these actions and encouragement of new terrorist attacks.
