White House Ballroom Project Halted

A federal appeals court in the US has ruled that the Trump administration cannot build a ballroom at the White House without congressional approval.
The decision by the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit means that President Donald Trump's $400 million ballroom construction project must be halted.
The judges sided with historic preservation advocates who brought the lawsuit, stating that 'whether to construct a massive ballroom is a decision that belongs to Congress, and is not one that the executive branch can make on its own.'
