Major Fire in Belgian Apartment Building: At Least 6 Dead

A fire broke out in a 10-story apartment building in Antwerp, Belgium, resulting in at least 6 fatalities. The fire started on the 8th floor of the building in the Linkeroever district at around 10:00 local time (11:00 Turkish time) and quickly spread, requiring the evacuation of 80 apartments.Police and firefighters worked to rescue people affected by the smoke from their apartments.The fire was caused by a technical malfunction on the ground floor of the building. The rapid spread of smoke to the upper floors made evacuation efforts more difficult. According to Antwerp Police Spokesperson Kim Bastiaens, the fire resulted in a heavy toll, with both severe and minor injuries reported.
