Baris Manco's Family Sues for Alleged Copyright Infringement

The family of renowned Turkish artist Baris Manco has filed a lawsuit against Emre Grafson Music, alleging that their copyright earnings have been misappropriated.
Baris Manco, a significant figure in Turkish music history, passed away in 1999. His family is seeking compensation for the earnings Emre Grafson Music has generated since 2003.
The Manco family initiated legal proceedings, claiming that the income from digital platforms has been concealed from them and their copyright has been infringed upon.
According to the family's lawyer, Abdi Bişar Alınak, 'We trusted the production company to protect Baris Manco's works, but they misappropriated the copyright earnings, including digital rights. We were forced to seek legal action after attempts at an amicable resolution failed.'
The lawsuit seeks the return of all Baris Manco's works to his family and the determination of the income Emre Grafson Music has generated between 2003 and the conclusion of the lawsuit, with the aim of obtaining compensation for these earnings.
