Bangkok Bar Fire Claims at Least 27 Lives

A bar fire in Bangkok, Thailand has resulted in the loss of at least 27 lives. The incident occurred in the Chatuchak district of the city.Firefighters were alerted to the blaze around midnight local time and began evacuation efforts.Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul stated in a press conference at the scene that preliminary reports indicated 27 fatalities and multiple injuries. The Prime Minister also announced that an investigation into the cause of the fire has been initiated. The area was quickly filled with fire trucks and ambulances in response to the emergency.
