Fire in Balıkesir Spreads to Forest Area

Emergency response efforts are underway for a fire that started in a field in Altıeylül, Balıkesir, and spread to a forest area due to wind. A fire broke out in a field in Büyükbostancı Mahallesi, the cause of which has not yet been determined. The fire spread to the forest area due to the wind. Forest Regional Directorate teams were dispatched to the area to protect the forest. To control the fire, 20 fire trucks, 7 water supply vehicles, 5 helicopters, 4 planes, and 4 construction equipment were sent to the area. 100 personnel are participating in the efforts led by the teams from air and land. Work to control the fire is ongoing.
