Controlled Demolition in Bahçelievler Damages Two Buildings

A controlled demolition operation in Istanbul's Bahçelievler district resulted in damage to two nearby buildings when concrete fragments broke off during the process. The 5-story apartment building adjacent to the 6-story building being demolished was evacuated as a precaution.During the demolition, concrete fragments hit both the evacuated apartment building and the next-door building. Police and municipal teams were dispatched to the area following a report. While the teams took security measures, an inspection revealed that the evacuated building suffered damage to its beam and some walls, while the damage to the other building was minor. The residents of the evacuated building were directed to the municipality's guesthouses.
