Two Families Clash in Aydın, Turkey: 2 Dead, 5 Injured

A violent dispute between two families in the town of Söke, in Turkey's Aydın province, resulted in the deaths of two people and injured five others. The conflict began in the Kemalpaşa neighborhood over a matter of a marriage proposal and escalated into a shootout. Following reports of the incident, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene, where seven people injured in the altercation were taken to nearby hospitals. Among the injured, 38-year-old Umut Cabaş succumbed to his wounds despite medical efforts to save him. It was learned that Cabaş was shot while trying to intervene in the fight. Doğan Işık also lost his life while receiving treatment at the Söke Fehime Faik Kocagöz State Hospital. Four individuals, identified as R.D, C.D, M.N.D., and S.D, were taken into custody in connection with the incident and later remanded in custody by a court. Security measures were put in place at hospitals to prevent further clashes between the families.
