Aydın Forest Fire Investigation: 2 Suspects Detained

A significant development has occurred in the investigation into the forest fire that started in July and was brought under control in August in the Çine district of Aydın. Aydın Governor Osman Varol announced that 2 suspects who were deemed to have caused the fire were detained by the gendarmerie. Governor Varol stated that the judicial process has been initiated and 2 suspects have been detained as part of the investigation. In response to journalists' questions, Governor Varol said that the two individuals who caused the fire were detained and that the details would be shared later due to the ongoing judicial process. Governor Varol also mentioned the expert reports prepared regarding the cause of the fire, stating that there are two expert reports related to the incident. The governor emphasized that there was a significant neglect in the fire, but could not confirm whether it was intentional.
