SpaceX Rocket Crashes into Moon: South Korean Space Agency Releases Images

The South Korean Space Agency (KASA) has released images taken after a SpaceX rocket part crashed into the Moon's surface. KASA shared the images recorded by its lunar orbiting vehicle Danuri after the crash, along with previous photos of the Moon's surface. According to the South Korean space agency, the rocket debris hit the Moon at around 06:35 on Wednesday. SpaceX officials stated that the collision was not intentional. The brief and intense flash caused by the rocket part's crash into the Moon was barely visible even to amateur astronomers with high-tech telescopes. Astronomer Matt Bothwell from Cambridge University expressed his concerns about space pollution. Bothwell said, "Space is getting more crowded every day. We're launching more objects into space every year," warning that it may become extremely difficult to surpass Earth's orbit in the next few decades.
