Swedish MEP Abir Al-Sahlani has reported her Danish colleague to the police for alleged racist hate speech. It has emerged that Danish MEP Kristoffer Storm told Al-Sahlani to 'go back to her country'.Last month, following the adoption of a contentious regulation aimed at expanding deportation practices across the EU, some far-right MEPs chanted 'send them back' in the plenary.Swedish Centre Party MEP Abir Al-Sahlani criticized the far-right MEPs in a speech, stating 'I have never felt this insecure in this parliament' and 'the slogans were not directed at political opponents, but at people'.Al-Sahlani received numerous messages of support after her statement, but also faced death and harassment threats.
