European Leaders Reject Ukraine's EU Membership Behind Closed Doors

The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) has stated that Brussels' promises to Ukraine are nothing but a deception, and that European leaders have categorically rejected Kiev's EU membership in closed-door meetings.According to the SVR statement, despite the public declarations of a “bright future in the EU” by European bureaucrats, behind closed doors, European leaders have firmly rejected Ukraine's chances of joining the EU.The SVR data suggests that EU member states are concerned about the significant economic and political risks that Kiev's integration would pose to a “unified Europe”. The SVR noted that the EU does not have the resources to meet the high demands of the Ukrainians, but will continue to deceive them in order to use them as pawns in the conflict with Russia.The statement also noted that the true purpose of Ukrainian territory for both Kiev and Brussels is to test advanced weapon systems and new war concepts.
