Vehicle Owners Take Note: Major Change in 39 Days

The Turkish Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Agency (SEDDK) has introduced a significant development affecting vehicle owners. The Alo 193 Joint Damage Notification Center, set to launch on September 1, 2026, will enable citizens to report traffic and insurance claims through a single center. This new system is seen as an important step against illegal structures. SEDDK had prepared a five-point action plan to reduce disputes over value loss within the scope of traffic insurance and prevent exploitation. After the first four items of the action plan were implemented, the fifth item is now being realized with the establishment of the “Alo 193 Joint Damage Notification Center”, which integrates all insurance companies. Following the completion of technical preparations, this center will begin accepting applications related to traffic and insurance claims as of September 1, 2026. Citizens will be able to report not only damage notifications but also file complaints about illegal structures that cause distress after damage via the Alo 193 hotline.
