New Era in Vehicle Inspections: No Credit Card Commission

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced significant innovations in vehicle inspection services. Minister Uraloğlu stated that the number of vehicle inspection stations will increase from 321 to 352, and in the new period, the technological infrastructure will be strengthened, and no commission will be charged for vehicle inspection payments made by credit card.Vehicle inspection services will be covered by contracts to be signed for the second concession period, which will span from 2027 to 2047. The new period will be shaped by a citizen-oriented service approach, with many innovations, from increasing the number of stations to strengthening technological infrastructure, Uraloğlu said. Currently, vehicle inspection services are provided at 321 points, with 219 fixed and 102 mobile stations. In the new period, this number will increase to 352 stations, with 249 fixed and 103 mobile stations.It was also announced that 8-channel vehicle inspection stations will be established in metropolitan cities where needed. Minister Uraloğlu stated that the technological infrastructure will be strengthened in the new period, with the introduction of suspension test devices, electronic dimension measurement systems, automatic license plate recognition infrastructure, and OBD devices in the future. Emphasizing that citizens' expectations are taken into account, Uraloğlu stated that an important application will be implemented in the new period. Announcing that no commission will be charged for vehicle inspection payments made by credit card by TURKA in the new concession period starting on August 15, 2027, he said, ''In the new concession period starting on August 15, 2027, TURKA will not charge any credit card commission for vehicle inspection payments made by our citizens with credit cards.''
