Forest Fire in Antalya Kaş: Efforts to Bring Under Control

A forest fire broke out in a wooded area in Antalya's Kaş district, spreading rapidly due to the wind. The fire was met with an initial response of multiple helicopters, planes, and fire trucks. The fire, which started in the Üzümlü Mahallesi forest area for unknown reasons, is being worked on by teams sent to the area to bring under control. The growth of the fire, fueled by the wind, is making the response efforts more challenging.After the fire was reported by those who noticed it, teams from the Antalya Regional Forest Directorate and fire departments were dispatched to the area. The response to the fire includes 6 helicopters, 3 planes, 14 fire trucks, 5 water supply vehicles, 2 initial response vehicles, and 135 forest workers. The teams are fighting the fire from both the air and the ground to prevent its further spread.
