Public Transportation Fares Increased in Ankara

The latest decision by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality has brought significant changes to public transportation fares. The increase in public transportation fares was 14.30 percent. With the new tariff, the full ticket price has been raised from 35 lira to 40 lira, student tickets from 17.50 lira to 20 lira, and teacher tickets from 26 lira to 30 lira. The fee for students' unlimited travel subscriptions was set at 650 lira. The new tariff will come into effect on August 23, 2026.
