Claims of Curfew in Ankara Denied
Claims that a curfew would be imposed in Ankara due to the NATO Summit have been denied. Prior to the 36th NATO Summit of State and Government Heads to be held in Ankara on July 7-8, some social media posts claimed that a curfew would be imposed. In response to these claims, a statement was made by the Presidency of Communication of the Republic of Turkey's Center for Combating Disinformation.The statement noted that there was no decision to impose a curfew during the summit. Additionally, it was stated that all necessary legal processes are being carried out against baseless claims aimed at creating panic and uncertainty in public opinion. Citizens were asked to follow only the statements of relevant official institutions for up-to-date and accurate information.Regarding the summit in Ankara, the EGO General Directorate also made a statement. The EGO General Directorate announced that EGO buses will continue to operate in their normal schedule during the summit, but due to traffic measures, there may be route changes, delays, disruptions, and cancellations on some lines.
