Ankara Metropolitan Municipality's Concert Expenses Case Postponed

The trial of 14 defendants related to the concert expenses of the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) between 2021-2024 continued. The hearing was postponed to October 16.The hearing at the Ankara 34th Heavy Penal Court was attended by some non-arrested defendants, including Hacı Ali Bozkurt, Onur Evren, and Selahattin Çelikkaya, as well as their lawyers.The court chairman stated that the expert report had not been received and gave the defendants the right to speak. The defendants Onur Evren, Selahattin Çelikkaya, and Hacı Ali Bozkurt requested the removal of their judicial control conditions and acquittal.Other defendants who were given the right to speak also rejected the charges and requested the removal of their judicial control conditions. The defendants' lawyers requested the removal of the judicial control conditions applied to their clients and the correction of deficiencies.The court ruled to wait for the expert report, to lift the foreign travel ban imposed on some defendants, and to maintain the current situation for the others.
