Severe Storm and Rain Hit Amasya: 1 Injured, Over 40 Roofs Blown Away

A severe storm and rain hit Amasya, as warned by the Meteorology department. The storm, which started in the evening in the Taşova district, affected daily life and transportation. With the force of the wind, many trees were uprooted in the district center and villages, falling onto roads and parked vehicles. As the storm brought heavy rain, puddles formed on streets and avenues, and some houses and workplaces were flooded. The rain and storm caused disruptions in transportation.According to a statement from the Amasya Governor's Office, as of 16:50, the 112 Emergency Call Center received reports of flooding, roof collapses in 41 houses, partial minaret collapses, and tree falls. Following the reports, health, AFAD, fire, police, gendarmerie, and highway teams were dispatched to the scene. It was also stated that one person was injured and their life was not in danger, and they were being treated.
