Gold Prices Move: What is the Current Situation for Gram and Ounce Gold?
Gold prices were limited in their rapid rise due to increasing inflation concerns and the rise in expectations for the US Federal Reserve's (Fed) interest rate hike. Nevertheless, the ounce of gold exceeded the $4,000 threshold, while gram gold rose to 6,147 TL during the day. In international markets, the ounce of gold rose from $4,019 to $4,062. This movement in gold prices caught the attention of investors. The ongoing conflict between the US and Iran drew attention to energy-related inflation risks and the possibility of high interest rates. Gold rose above $4,000 per ounce but remained near its lowest level in nine months. US Treasury yields rose sharply this week, and markets now expect the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates in September, with a probability of around 55%, up from 51% the previous day. How did gold prices shape up in light of these developments? The ounce of gold started the day at $4,009. During the day, it fell to $3,999 and rose to $4,051. It is currently trading at $4,046. The current situation for gold prices on Tuesday, July 21, is as follows: The selling price of gram gold is 6,161 TL, the selling price of quarter gold is 10,449 TL, the selling price of half gold is 20,899 TL, the selling price of full gold is 41,798 TL, and the selling price of republic gold is 42,574 TL.
