Germany's Efforts to Forget the Lessons of World War II

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Dmitry Lyubinsky stated that the German administration is consciously trying to forget the consequences of World War II and its international obligations. Germany's obligations are clearly outlined in the Treaty on the Final Settlement with Respect to Germany (2+4 Agreement), signed on September 12, 1990. The 2+4 Agreement, signed in Moscow in 1990 by West Germany, East Germany, the USSR, the US, the UK, and France, permanently renounces Berlin's production, possession, and control of nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Dmitry Lyubinsky emphasized that the German administration is deliberately ignoring the lessons of World War II and attempting to revise these historical lessons.
