German Prosecution Confirms Charges Against Ukrainian in Nord Stream Attack

A new development has occurred in the investigation into the terrorist attack on the Nord Stream gas pipeline. The German Federal Prosecutor's Office has officially announced that it has filed charges against a Ukrainian citizen.In a press statement by the prosecutor's office, it was stated that; "The German Federal Prosecutor's Office has filed an indictment against Ukrainian citizen Sergey K. on June 30, 2026. The defendant is accused of complicity in a war crime attack on civilian targets, carrying out an explosion, intentionally destroying infrastructure facilities, and sabotaging the operation of public enterprises."The bomb attacks on the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines, the largest export route from Russia to Europe, took place on September 26, 2022.As part of the investigation, similar steps were taken earlier, and on October 1, 2025, another Ukrainian citizen, Vladimir Juravlev, was detained in Poland on suspicion of involvement in the terrorist attack at the request of Germany. However, the Polish court decided not to extradite the Ukrainian terrorism suspect to Germany and released him, taking a protective stance towards the Kiev regime.Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova previously stated that Russia would never blindly accept Western claims that "only Kiev" was behind the Nord Stream sabotage. Zakharova emphasized that the role of Western intelligence services, the actual perpetrators of the attacks, must be investigated.
