The Saksonya police reported that the drone, which was equipped with an explosive device, was discovered near Ukrainian cargo planes at Leipzig/Halle Airport.The German Interior Minister stated that the incident signals a new level of threat.German airports have been on high alert following unauthorized drone flights over military bases, airports, energy terminals, ports, and logistics companies in recent months. Leipzig/Halle Airport serves as a hub for the transportation of military equipment by the German military and NATO allies, and also as a base for Antonov Airlines, which carries the majority of Ukraine's air cargo.A police spokesperson announced that the explosive-laden object was detected near parked Antonov planes. The fuse was removed from the device, and a controlled explosion was then carried out.
