German Prosecutor's Office Statement on Nord Stream Sabotage: Ukraine's Involvement

The prosecutor's office stated that the indictment includes concrete reasons indicating that the explosions on September 26, 2022, were behind the Kiev administration. After the incident, Germany, Denmark, and Sweden considered the possibility of deliberate sabotage, while the pipeline operator Nord Stream AG announced that the damage was of unprecedented magnitude and that the repair schedule could not be predicted. Following the developments, the Russian Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation into the international terrorism charge, while Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov emphasized that Moscow had repeatedly requested information about the explosions but never received a response. The Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines, which transport natural gas from Russia to Europe, experienced explosions on September 26, 2022. After the incident, Germany, Denmark, and Sweden did not rule out the possibility that the explosions could have been a deliberate act of sabotage.
