The 'Kıskananlar Çatlasın' Mosaic in Alanya Syedra Ancient City is Being Uncovered

The Alanya Syedra Ancient City is continuing to bring its historical texture to the surface with the excavation and restoration works carried out within the scope of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's 'Heritage to the Future Project'. The team led by Prof. Dr. Ertuğ Ergürer, a faculty member of Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University's Faculty of Tourism, is working to bring out the important centers of the ancient city with the contribution of the local people. The 'Kıskananlar Çatlasın' mosaic has a significant place in the recent studies in the ancient city. The city, which bears the traces of the Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, and Anatolian Seljuk periods, attracts attention with its stadium, theater, council building, bath, advanced water infrastructure, columned street, baptismal cave, and olive oil workshop. Thanks to the 12-month uninterrupted work program, significant progress has been made in the excavations. The ancient city has been prepared for the 'night museum' concept by completing the infrastructure and lighting projects to increase its tourism potential.
