A Major Step in Nuclear Energy with Akkuyu NGS

A Major Step in Nuclear Energy with Akkuyu NGS
Nuclear energy investments have been brought back to the global agenda due to the increasing demand for electricity. Turkey, which aims to reach 20 GW of nuclear capacity by 2050, has successfully completed a major learning area with the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant (NGS) project. Nükleer Sanayi Derneği (NIATR) Chairman Alikaan Çiftçi stated that the Turkish industry has completed its apprenticeship period with international standards and quality discipline, and the main goal is to become a global main supplier in large projects. Çiftçi emphasized that Turkish companies have seized concrete opportunities in the Bangladeş Rooppur and Egypt El Dabaa nuclear projects. He noted that Turkish companies have already submitted bids for the project in Bangladeş, and ENKA's piping and insulation work at the Hinkley Point C Nuclear Power Plant in the UK has also proven the success of the Turkish industry in Western standards.
