Ahbap Investigation: Donations from Celebrities Under Scrutiny

In the scope of the Ahbap Investigation, MASAK's inspections examined high-value money transfers to the association one by one. The famous names who made large donations to the association were also revealed. According to the report, numerous celebrities, including Ajda Pekkan, Tarkan, Sibel Can, Barış Arduç, Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ, Aras Bulut İynemli, Beyazıt Öztürk, and Afra Saraçoğlu, donated over 14 million to the association.The report states that after the February 6 Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes, many celebrities donated over 14 million to AHBAP. The prosecution is investigating how the donated money was used, whether it was utilized for the specified purposes, and the fate of the donations.It was stated that after the earthquakes, many people from the arts, media, and business worlds made "earthquake aid" and "donation" announcements, transferring millions of lira to the association. The investigation file noted that there was no evidence linking the donors to any crime or organizational activity, and the examination focused on the use of donations after they reached the association's accounts.The investigation evaluated that the mentioned artists, actors, singers, presenters, digital content creators, and businesspeople made donations with good intentions to help those affected by the earthquakes. The prosecution's investigation examined whether the donations were used for the specified purposes in the aid campaigns, to which accounts they were transferred, whether they were fully recorded in the accounting records, and the consistency between bank transactions and expense documents.
