New Development in AHBAP Investigation: 13 Suspects Detained

Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek made important statements on social media. In the 4th wave operation of the AHBAP association investigation, 13 suspects were caught and detained. Gürlek emphasized that the investigation includes the examination of house and container purchases, as well as checks issued by the association and financial relations in all aspects. He stated that a determined struggle is being waged against structures that exploit the good intentions and donations of citizens. Gürlek also announced that legal proceedings have been initiated against 112 suspects in the investigations conducted in Istanbul, Erzurum, and Mersin. In the operation coordinated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 13 suspects were detained, and many suspects were caught in other investigations. He underlined that the state is holding accountable the donations made by citizens and working to shed light on unresolved incidents.
