Ahbap Association's Vault Surprises: Medicine and Books Instead of Gold

The bank vault of the Ahbap Association was opened as part of an investigation. Instead of 44 million liras worth of gold, medicine and books were found inside. It was determined that the association's 44 million TL was first converted into 1 million dollars in cash, and then into physical gold. A safe deposit box was rented for the storage of the gold, and the key was given to Haluk Levent. The opening of the vault was attended by the police, an expert, and a committee. The items found in the vault included a box of Tylolhot, a box of vitamin capsules, two boxes of medicine, and a book. The investigation is trying to determine the fate of the association's 44 million TL. According to the information in the investigation file, the association's 44 million TL was converted into 1 million dollars in cash, and then into physical gold, in accordance with the decisions of the board of directors. As part of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, three decisions made by the association's board of directors in January 2026 were examined. According to the information in the file, the first decision, dated January 14, 2026, was to convert the 44 million TL in the association's bank account into gold to prevent its value from decreasing due to inflation.
