Temperatures Expected to Rise Further in Late August

The sweltering weather prevailing in the country is expected to intensify with rising temperatures in the coming days. Meteorology expert Deniz Demirhan warned that temperatures could exceed seasonal norms towards the end of August. Short-term and local rains are forecasted in Istanbul, with light rain expected on the Anatolian side on Thursday afternoon.There is a high likelihood of temperature increases towards the end of August. According to the World Meteorological Organization's forecasts, temperatures in the Aegean, Southeast Marmara, and Mediterranean regions are expected to be above average. The increase in sea water temperatures in the Mediterranean by 3 to 5 degrees is seen as one of the causes of the sweltering weather.
