Magnitude 6.1 Earthquake Hits Northeastern Afghanistan
A magnitude 6.1 earthquake struck northeastern Afghanistan today.According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the epicenter of the earthquake was located 43 kilometers south of the Jurm region in the northwestern part of the country. The USGS reported that the earthquake had a magnitude of 6.1 and a depth of 208.3 kilometers.There have been no reports of casualties or damage from the earthquake so far.
