The Republic of Turkey is an independent, sovereign, and democratic state of law. The judicial power is exercised by independent and impartial courts on behalf of the Turkish people. The fact that Turkey's judicial processes are followed by international circles is an indicator of Turkey's democratic maturity and transparency. On the other hand, making statements that verdict as if at the court gates regarding ongoing trials is an unacceptable attitude that targets the Turkish judiciary and tries to put judicial processes under political pressure. Turkey's judicial processes proceed not according to the political agendas of foreign parliamentarians, their ideological expectations, or lobbying activities, but according to the Constitution, laws, evidence in the files, and the discretion of independent courts. I clearly state here: No one can dictate to Turkish courts; no one can try to influence ongoing trials, put the Turkish judiciary under pressure, or intervene in our country's internal affairs.
