Operation on Princes' Islands Municipality: 35 Suspects Face Detention Request

In the investigation conducted regarding the Princes' Islands Municipality in Istanbul, 42 individuals were detained due to allegations of bribery and irregular licensing. After the completion of the procedures at the police station, the suspects were sent to the Istanbul Anatolian Courthouse following a health check.The Mayor of Princes' Islands, Ali Ercan Akpolat, was among the 35 individuals who were referred to the on-duty criminal court of peace with a request for detention. In line with the prosecutor's request, 4 suspects were asked to be released on judicial probation and were sent to the court. Meanwhile, 3 suspects were released after their statements at the prosecutor's office.
