Ban on High-Performance Vehicles for New Drivers Under Consideration

The Belgian government is evaluating a ban on new drivers using high-performance vehicles for a certain period. This proposal aims to improve traffic safety.
Belgian Federal Transport Minister Jean-Luc Crucke announced that they are considering banning new drivers from using high horsepower vehicles for a certain period.
The French Parliament passed a law in July that prohibits new drivers from using high-performance vehicles for up to three years after obtaining their license. However, the horsepower limit has not been clarified yet.
A similar system is already in place in Italy. The Belgian government is examining the possibility of implementing a similar system, taking the regulations in the two countries as an example.
