US Prepares to Impose Tariffs on 60 Countries: A New Trade Move

The administration of US President Donald Trump is reportedly preparing to announce new tariffs on approximately 60 countries. This move is seen as a new step in global trade policy.
Under the new arrangement, import duties on these countries will range from 10% to 12.5%. This will replace the 10% global tariff imposed by Trump in February, which covered all countries.
The US administration aims to switch from a one-size-fits-all tax model to a country-based tariff system. This decision is based on the authority granted to the president under Section 122 of the 1974 Trade Act.
