The US Has Not Yet Decided on Ukraine's Request for Additional Air Defense Systems

US General Dan Caine stated that Washington has not yet made a final decision on Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy's request for additional air defense systems.
Caine noted that he is aware of Zelenskiy's request and that the decision on whether to proceed with it will be made by the civilian leadership.
In June, Zelenskiy sent a letter to the US President and the US Congress, drawing attention to the increasing shortage of ammunition in the Ukrainian Armed Forces and requesting an increase in the supply of air defense systems and their missiles.
Zelenskiy later stated that he had not received any response to his letter from Congress or the White House.
In July, Trump stated that the US could grant Ukraine a license to produce preventive missiles for Patriot air defense systems, and that Ukraine could start producing these missiles quickly if the necessary infrastructure is provided.
