New Application in the US Army: Mandatory Testosterone Test for Soldiers Over 30

US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth announced that all soldiers over 30 years old will be required to undergo mandatory testosterone screening as part of their annual health checks.
This application aims to detect testosterone deficiency early and maintain the physical performance of soldiers. Hegseth stated that as age advances, testosterone levels can naturally decrease, which can affect physical performance and overall health.
Hegseth expressed that the new screening program aims to detect testosterone deficiency early, and the application will contribute to soldiers performing their duties at the highest level.
Soldiers under 30 can also volunteer for testosterone screening if they wish. If the testosterone level is found to be low after the screening, hormone replacement therapy can be applied to the soldiers upon request.
The new application by the US Department of Defense is considered one of the latest steps towards strengthening the performance-oriented approach in health checks for military personnel.
