US Launches New Wave of Attacks Against Iran

The United States initiated a new wave of military operations against Iran today at 13:00 TSİ. According to the US Central Command (CENTCOM), the objective of these operations is to further weaken Iran's military capabilities used to attack commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz. The source of the tensions is attributed to differing interpretations of the temporary peace agreement signed between the US and Iran on June 17. Following ongoing negotiations between the two parties regarding the implementation of the agreement, the US has now resorted to military action. The Strait of Hormuz is known as a critical point in global oil trade. The increased tensions and attacks in the region in recent months have impacted oil supplies. Prior to the US and Israel's attack in February, the amount of oil passing through the strait accounted for approximately 20% of the world's oil supply.
