Conditional Approval for A101's Acquisition of Carrefour: No Job Losses

The Competition Authority has granted conditional approval for A101's acquisition of Carrefour. As part of this approval, A101 has committed to maintaining the current employment level for 3 years and divesting 48 stores. The divested stores will include 10 A101 stores and 38 Carrefour stores. Additionally, Carrefour will maintain its independent corporate structure, and A101 will provide support to at least 75 SMEs and local producers each year. The authority's decision aims to address concerns that the acquisition could lead to reduced competition in some regions.
