The countdown is over for the difference payments of the lowest retirement pension, which concerns 6 million retirees. Millions of retirees are waiting for the difference payments to be made to their accounts with the new lowest retirement pension, which has increased from 20,000 to 23,552 lira. This increase in the lowest retirement pension covers not only retirees receiving the lowest pension but also those with pensions between 20,000 and 23,552 lira. In this context, difference payments will also be made to retirees with pensions between 20,000 and 23,552 lira, in the amount of the shortfall. According to the official announcement of the Social Security Institution, the difference payments for the lowest retirement pension will be transferred to accounts tonight (August 7, 2026), and retirees will be able to withdraw their payments.
