After 30 Years: US to Resume Old Patriot Missile Procurements

The US Army has decided to resume procurement of old-generation ammunition for its air defense systems after more than 30 years. This was announced by Christopher Calio, CEO of RTX, the manufacturer of the Patriot systems. These orders include contracts worth over $5 billion, primarily from foreign customers, for the production of GEM-T interceptors for the Patriot systems. Additionally, these orders include the first production order for GEM-T in over 30 years from the US domestic market.
