The Most Livable Cities in the World for 2026 Revealed

The 2026 Global Livability Index results have been announced, with Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, being named the most livable city in the world for the second consecutive time. Copenhagen achieved a perfect score in stability, education, and infrastructure, while also scoring 96 in healthcare and 95 in culture and environment.Vienna, the capital of Austria, came in second with a score of 97, achieving perfect scores in healthcare, education, and infrastructure, and scoring 95 in stability and 94 in culture and environment.Other cities in the top 10 include Melbourne, Sydney, and Adelaide in Australia; Zurich and Geneva in Switzerland; Osaka and Tokyo in Japan; and Vancouver in Canada.Australia had the most cities in the top 10, with Melbourne, Sydney, and Adelaide making the list. Switzerland maintained its strong position with Zurich and Geneva.
